Close the

cmd

window by entering

On node 1, click

Start

The Database Configuration Assistant starts.

In the

Welcome

window, select

Oracle Real Application Clusters database

and click

In the

Operations

window, click

Create a Database

and click

In the

Node Selection

window, click

Select All

and click

In the

Database Templates

window, click

Custom Database

and click

In the

Database Identification

window, in the

Global Database Name

field, enter a name such as

racdb

and click

In the

Management Options

window, click

In the

Database Credentials

window, click

Use the Same Password for All

Accounts

, enter a new password in the appropriate fields, and click

NOTE: Record your new password because you will need this information

later for database administration.

In the

Storage Options

window, select

Automatic Storage Management

(ASM)

and click

In the

Create ASM Instance

window, perform the following steps:

In the

SYS password

field, enter a new password in the appropriate

fields.

Select

Create initialization parameter file (IFILE)

Click
