226 File Management | File Server / File Management
Here are the steps to back up a device:

Make sure you have configured an FTP or TFTP server to handle the backup. See Netrestore
File Servers on page 69.

Right-click a device in the
Managed Resources
portlet.

Select
File Management > Backup.

Configure the subsequent
Backup Device
screen.
This screen lets you configure the following:
File Name —A text identifier for the file
Description—A text identifier for the file
Update User Label—A text identifier for the file. Entering such a label creates it, and
makes it available for later restoration, comparison, and so on.
Email Settings—Click add email to configure an email notification about this backup.
Select Targets for Backup—This screen defaults to the device you selected in Managed
Resources
. You can also click the Add Equipment to add individual devices, or Add
Groups to add groups, or Remove All to manage devices that appear in this list of tar-
gets.
