Unable to Install the Windows Server 2008 Operating System on a Dell
System with SCSI Disks Pre-Configured With RAID 1

If you install the Windows Server 2008 SP2 operating system on SCSI disks
pre-configured RAID 1 connected to a SCSI controller, the following error
message appears:
Windows is unable to find system volume that meets its
criteria for installation—Please ensure that disk
controller is BIOS enabled.
As a workaround, delete the partition, create a new partition, and then restart
the system.
No Native Drivers for Broadcom Ethernet Controller in
Dell PowerEdge 6650, 2650, 4600 and 6600 Systems

The Windows Server 2008 operating system does not have native drivers for
Broadcom Ethernet Controller for the PowerEdge 6650, 2650, 4600,
and 6600 systems.
This is a known issue with the Windows Server 2008 SP2 operating system.
You must download the drivers from support.dell.com, or use the Common
Deployment Utility to install the drivers.
Cannot Create a Single Volume From Multiple Volumes
Dell Ref: 131082
You cannot create a new, one volume by shrinking and putting together two or
multiple volumes. However, you can create volumes equal to the number of
volumes that were originally shrunk.
This works as designed.
