Activating Windows Using the Internet

Click

Start→ Run.

In the

Run

window, type the following and press <Enter>:

C:\Windows\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a.

The

Activate Windows Wizard

window appears.

Select

Yes, let's activate Windows over the Internet now

, and then

click

The

Personal Registration

window appears.

Enter your personal registration information, and then click

The wizard establishes a connection with an activation system

and processes the activation request.

Activating Windows Using the Telephone

Click

Start→ Run.

In the

Run

window, type

C:\Windows\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a.

The

Activate Windows Wizard

window appears.

Select

Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to

activate Windows

, and click

The system may take a few seconds to generate an installation ID.

Select the country to display the phone numbers that will be used

and call that number.

Provide the representative on the phone with the installation ID.

The representative will give you a confirmation ID.

Type the confirmation ID in the required field to complete the

activation process.
