FLARE Operating
Environment
Single-SP panic occurs when
the cache is shutting down.
182007
Frequency of occurrence
:
Rarely under a specific set of
circumstances.
Severity
:
Medium
If two drives within the
same RAID group
experience media errors
on the same logical block
address, then shutting
down the cache can result
in a single-SP panic.
The system recovers
from the SP reboot
and continues normal
operation. Replacing
one or both of the
drives will prevent
future occurrences.

Component statuses reported
in the UI appear to toggle
between normal and faulted.
173249, 173669, 174548
Frequency of occurrence
:
Always under a specific set of
circumstances
Severity
:
Medium
Inconsistent cabling of the
two sides of the storage
system causes component
state information to differ
between one side of the
system and the other. In
this scenario, states of
various components, such
as LCCs, hot spares, and
others, may toggle
between normal and
faulted, depending on
which SP is reporting the
state. You may also
receive duplicate emails
for various alerts, if one SP
believes a component is
faulted, and the other SP
believes its state to be
normal.
Check cabling to
ensure that the
configuration is
consistent between
each side of the
system.
